
Coach Paul has been with the Plumas Rapids Swim Team since 2010. Before taking over as head coach he was an assistant for three years. For Coach Paul nothing is more satisfying than helping young swimmers find joy, health, and mental strength through their commitment to the sport. When not coaching or perfecting his own strokes in the pool, Paul teaches political science and sociology at Feather River College, raises his two sons with his wife Katie, and thinks about baseball, music, and good books.

Coach Christianna enjoys helping children of all ages increase their skills in water safety, recreation, and competitive swimming. This is her 9th year as a coach with the Plumas Rapids Swim Team! You might also know her as the First and Second Grade Teacher at Plumas Christian School. She is married to Ryan Nielsen and has two incredible teen daughters, Magali and Miley.

Coach Eli has had a passion for swimming since a young age, propelleing him to compete for a decade before transitioning to coaching in 2022. He find joy in sharing his knowledge of the sport with swimmers, guiding them towards new goals while having a blast along the way. Beyond the pool, Coach Eli enjoys outdoor rock climbing, fishing, and playing disc golf. During the off season Eli studies civil engineering at CSU, Chico.
